You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.

Psychotherapy looks different for everyone and can be highly personalized. Here are a few areas where we might work together.

Trauma, PTSD, and C-PTSD

Difficult, scary, and traumatic events in our lives can disconnect us from ourselves and our loved ones. From difficult childhoods to assault, car accidents to natural disasters, our brains are wired to protect us from overwhelming events and dangerous situations and to ensure our survival. But sometimes these events may stick with us and continue to show up in our lives through the years, causing additional pain and suffering. Together we can work to help you find relief and to reconnect with your authentic self and the people you care about.

Chronic Illness and Disability

Whether newly a part of the chronic illness and/or disability community, or having been a part of them for your entire life, I have experience making space for the grief of navigating these challenging life experiences and identities while also helping you find joy and connection with others.

Polyamory, Non-Monogamy, and Kink

When it comes to non-traditional relationships, you shouldn’t have to worry about judgement or needing to explain the basics. My experiences working with people in the polyamorous/non-monogamous and kink communities means that you can bring your whole self and your relationships into the therapy space and voice your hopes and fears without stigma.

Neurodivergence (Autism, ADHD, and Beyond)

If you are formally or self diagnosed, were diagnosed at a young age or are just coming to understand yourself as neurodivergent, or simply are wondering if you might be, you are welcome to explore all of the nuances of what neurodivergence looks and feels like to you. Together, we’ll make space for both the wonderful and challenging aspects of being neurodivergent, as well as how to survive in a neurotypical world as we work to find ways to support you.

While there is joy and pride to be found in 2SLGBTQIA+ identity and community, it also can be very challenging. Whether you’re coming to terms with or exploring your identity, grappling with homophobia or transphobia, trying to figure out how or even if you want to come out, or trying to navigate queer spaces and relationships, we’ll make space for what your identity means to you, how you want to express yourself, and all of the feelings that might be coming up for you in navigating this important aspect of who you are.

Technology

Whether you’re passionate about technology or feeling burnt out from working in the tech industry, hopeful for the future of AI or worried about AI, we’ll make space for all the complex feelings that can come along with changing technology and the culture around it. You won’t have to explain the basics to me, but instead can jump into how it’s impacting you and what you want for your life, exploring the nuance of how you relate to tech.
